VANCOUVER — June 25, 2009 — iCan Systems Inc. announces today that it will partner with Summit Negotiations Society with intent to apply Smartsettle eNegotiation technology to enhance the negotiation and intercultural agreement building capabilities of Aboriginal Peoples in Canada.

Ernest Thiessen, President of iCan Systems Inc. and inventor of Smartsettle met today with Bruce Hiebert, President of Summit Negotiations Society to form a long-lasting partnership between their organizations. They intend to work together to pursue the objectives of enhancing the negotiation capabilities of Aboriginal Peoples in Canada, starting with First Nations Peoples in BC. Their primary strategy will be to use the Smartsettle eNegotiation system that is designed to handle complex international negotiations and treaty processes. Smartsettle has the potential to enable First Nations and other aboriginal peoples along with counterparties in government and private sector to arrive in a timely process at more meaningful and mutually beneficial agreements.
