Whenever two or more parties accept the same package, Smartsettle declares a baseline agreement (formally referred to as tentative) among those parties and that package appears in a published group under the heading Baseline. If parties agree on a different package, the old Baseline is replaced by it. A Baseline solution may be binding or non-binding. Parties may decide at any time to implement a Baseline solution as their final agreement but they may also choose to use such a package as a reference point from which to search for improvements.
