XIV. Supplier’s Viewpoint – Baseline Agreement
This section records the following events:
- Buyer accepts Suggestion 9.
- Supplier accepts Suggestion 10.
- Smartsettle generates Equivalent 14.
- Both parties accept Equivalent 14.
- Equivalent 14 becomes a Baseline agreement.
When Buyer and Supplier accepted Suggestion 9 and Suggestion 10 respectively, Smartsettle responded by generating Equivalent 14. The following list is identical to that shown in the previous section, except for the addition of Equivalent 14. Notice that Equivalent 14 has the same rating as Suggestion 10, which Supplier has already declared acceptable.

The following screenshot shows Equivalent 14 being compared to the Prior Contract in Supplier’s view. There is no doubt that Equivalent 14 is much preferred by Supplier.
The following screenshot shows Equivalent 14 being compared to Suggestion 10 in Supplier’s view. Recall that Supplier had already accepted Suggestion 10. Agreeing that Equivalent 14 would produce just as much satisfaction as Suggestion 10, Supplier also accepted Equivalent 14 in confidence.
Smartsettle declared Equivalent 14 a Baseline agreement after Buyer also accepted it.
