VI. Buyer’s Viewpoint – Suggestions

Although Suggestions can be introduced any time during the negotiation process, it is preferable to wait until parties have exchanged at least one conventional proposal and have had a chance to fine-tune their preference representations. In this case, three Suggestions were introduced after parties had each made two proposals. Suggestions may be generated by Smartsettle or may be private packages published in the form of Suggestions rather than proposals from the parties. This simulation made use of both types of Suggestions.

According to Buyer’s preferences, compared to the Prior Contract rated at 198, all three of the Suggestions were acceptable, but Suggestion 7, rated at 291, would be most acceptable to Buyer. This Suggestion is shown below being compared to the Prior Contract. Buyer decides to accept this Suggestion.
